Thailand

My first stop in Thailand early in 2025 was Phuket. One of the highlights for me was the elephant sanctuary, where retired working elephants were free to roam 30 acres of natural bush, and live out their lives in peace, after having worked in the logging or tourism industries for years. I also enjoyed Monkey Hill and Promthep Cape. Then to Tonsai Beach, a mecca for climbers from all over the world, and neighbouring Railay Beach. From there to Kao Sok, with its amazing lake, and jungle. The highlights here for me were the monkeys and coming face to face in the jungle with a King Cobra. An incredible experience for one who loves to photograph wildlife in its natural habitat, invoking in me a mixture of awe and fear.
